Job Duties and Responsibilities
As a taxi driver, you’ll be part of a team that helps passengers move from one place to the other. You’ll be responsible for following the schedule of your routes, providing safe, courteous service, and establishing good public relations. They’ll also be required to help passengers in the loading and offloading of their luggage as well as the proper interaction with customers to ensure maximum satisfaction
Taxi drivers are expected to have a thorough knowledge of their local area, knowing the best routes to take to avoid rush hour traffic, and understanding how the local traffic system works.
They must also be able to explain the routes they will be taking, explain where they’ll be stopping, and answer any questions their passengers may have about the area they’re traveling to.

Taxi drivers are expected to have a thorough knowledge of their local area, able to adhere strictly to traffic regulations and guidelines, have valid driving license, good and safe driving record, reliable and trustworthy, effective time management skills, and good communication skills.
A taxi driver needs to have a good sense of direction and be able to navigate city streets efficiently. In addition, he or she must be able to interact well with customers and follow rules and regulations. You must also be patient and courteous when dealing with customers, especially those who are late, angry, or drunk. Taxi drivers also need to be good drivers and be able to control their vehicles.
